360 Degree Assessment
360 degree feedback, otherwise known as multi source feedback, is a comprehensive and structured way to obtain feedback from different sources, such as self, manager, peers, staff, customers/suppliers and stakeholders for individual managers. Results from a team can be collated to identify the strengths and weakness of the group with team building focusing on development planning. Results for individuals can be used to determine strengths for the assessment of potential, identify development options for existing progress and clarify ‘gaps’ or performance concerns.

360 degree surveys are one of the most effective ways for individuals to gain the feedback they need to learn and improve. Though potentially confronting, well-designed surveys offer an invaluable, moment-in-time picture of what a person is doing well and where performance is breaking down. This allows for swift, focused action to address gaps, and provides the foundation upon which long-term improvement strategies can be devised. Feedback to line managers and the individual concerned is clearly focused on areas for development while considering, in the context of the person’s role and organisation, the impacts of changes in behaviour.
360 Degree Assessment for Leadership and Management teams
360 degree surveys can provide leadership teams with comprehensive feedback around various aspects of their performance. A significant advantage of this process is that it allows insight into underlying perceptions of the business and issues not readily apparent, such as communication breakdowns, a lack of trust between members, or confusion around strategic direction.

Given the sensitivity of the data, the debriefing process must be managed in an open, respectful and authentic manner.
