Career Development Assessment
Assessments are beneficial for individual and career development where the emphasis is on understanding and developing ‘potential’. The assessments not only allow us to explore strengths, weaknesses but also the type of opportunity – training, international placement, work-based projects, action learning or other experiences – that would influence the direction of an individual’s career. We work closely with the client organisation to assess and then compare individual characteristics from a comprehensive assessment with the organisation’s current and future needs, identifying and factoring in the career objectives of the individuals concerned and suggesting training and development opportunities that would be consistent with the positions suited to, or envisaged for, the individuals in the future.
Significant coaching and team building opportunities can arise out of this exercise, and it is common that follow up on individual and group feedback sessions with workshops engineered to build team effectiveness by raising the understanding of each member’s needs and/or specifically tailored coaching sessions addressing development plans.
Career Guidance
Our student career guidance services help people gain clarity around where they are heading in their future career and how to get there. We start by administering assessments that cover the following areas: intelligence, aptitude, personality, and work interests. In the following weeks, a feedback session is held where the individual works through their results and maps out a pathway for the future (one or both parents attend this session if the person is school-age). A written report is then prepared covering the results of the assessments and feedback discussion, as well as suggested career options, subject choices and entry requirements for traineeships, apprenticeships and tertiary study if applicable.
